As we all know, everything is bigger in Texas, and this grandiose ideal has not been forgotten with the design of Terminal D’s TRG North & South Duty-Free stores. Large-scale, luxurious marble storefronts including halo-lit brass portals dramatically frame the entrances of both stores, setting a tone for the opulent interiors within. Once inside, travelers are offered an extensive international brand list offered by TRG in the categories of fragrance, fashion, cosmetics, alcohol and tobacco, along with an array of local brands including, Askinose Chocolates, Texas Whiskey and more.
Eye-catching design elements found in both stores include marble flooring integrated with swooping bleached wood accents to create directional flow, large angled brass feature walls located behind the points of sale, bespoke suspended sculptures by Texas native and celebrated artist James Surls and dramatic brass light fixtures hung throughout. The overall design approach, both elegant and bold, creates a memorable experience for the TRG name, all while allowing the individual brands to shine within, highlighting brand signage with carefully thought-out lighting and offering an variety of interchangeable graphic display opportunities throughout.
With the high level of passenger excitement seen thus far for both the North & South Duty-Free stores since their opening, anticipation continues to grow for the upcoming unveiling of the ‘pièce de résistance’; the whopping 17,000 square foot TRG Duty Free space located in the center of Terminal D, including 2 airline hold rooms and a newly constructed mezzanine level.
