With a dedicated inhouse foodservice planning & design team, we do a lot of eating here at SmartDesign Group. Last week was no exception. Thanks to Rob and Darren, the team enjoyed a homemade pancake breakfast complete with syrup, fruit topings and whipped creme. Yum! For those of you want to make them at home, Darren was kind enough to share his recipe.
Buttermilk Pancakes
1 cup all purpse flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Mix all dry ingredients together in mixing bowl. Mix wet ingredients in a separate bowl. Add wet to dry and mix thoroughly. Do not overmix. Batter may contain small lumps. Cook on med. heat greased pan or griddle turning over once when bubbles form on the surfaces. Makes approximately 8 pancakes.
